“There are very few people who can acknowledge that they’ve become vulnerable and temporarily at a standstill.” — J. Darling, 2024
What do you do when you come across a word you don’t understand?
Do you become offended at the word, for presenting you with an unwarranted challenge? Do you deflect by subconsciously thinking the word itself is stupid and the user is stupid — as opposed to you, who actually doesn’t know the meaning? [or] Do you rejoice, frown, laugh, consider how silly and strange the word is, and become either excited or annoyingly excited to learn just what in the hell does that mean?
SWOTTING
Swotting means to study assiduously (hard), especially when one is regarded as spending too much time studying.
So, basically, at the conclusion of select Juanita Darling articles readers are asked, “Did you enjoy this swotting?” which is simply asking, “Did you enjoy this study?” or deep down — in my own words, “Did you enjoy this smörgåsbord of information?”
