WHAT IS AN ALIAS???
Latin alias (alius), means ‘other.’
ꜰᴏʀᴇᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ: Did you know that Hermes Trsimegistus, Thoth, and Solomon Trismosin are not people — in a manner of speaking — they are pseudonyms!?!! In fact, there was a time when many people had to use pseudonyms, for example, Unveiling the Nom de Plume: Black Authors Who Used Pen Names, by K. Joseph.**

Alias dictus means ‘otherwise called,’ ‘otherwise named,’ or ‘also known as;’ and it refers to another assumed name used by a person instead of the person’s or persons’ real name, such as a PSEUDONYM.
As for me, I have six legally registered names in the United States of America — in a comedic way that also counts any particular abbreviation. I have approximately 7+ aliases, 4 formerly assigned nicknames and 2 personal nicknames that never stuck.
