HATER’S BLOCK, EL OH EL
Does The Guinness Book Of World Records Have A “Longest Writer’s Block” Reference?
Ha! *off to Google we go*
However, I know enough about “Hater’s Block” to know that I am certainly one of the many pioneers of “Writer’s Block!”
Yesterday, I was approached by a very unruly Librarian. She was visibly upset, teary-eyed (shortly after), and infuriated enough that her tone of correction alerted other Librarians, as she shoved the blank resume paper into my hands.
“I should be ashamed for not being a Patron.”
But to better understand yesterday, you will need to know what happened approximately 17 years ago in the same library.
I was soon to be 26 years old at year’s end—December 2005—but had spent the last few years writing pen to paper a completed children’s book (among those started), two composition books of dark poetry (writing through Depression), and the first half of ‘a’ memoir (which will be in two parts: childhood + young adulthood, including a specific tribulation that occurred from young adulthood into adulthood). Initially, I was obsessed with converting the writings into book format saving every feat to a USB drive, at that time from age 24 up to that moment.
